This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Cehpoint AI platform, including the chat console, the OpenAI-compatible API, commercial API keys, Cehpoint Code, and the data-grounding & knowledge-upload features. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using the platform you agree to this AUP.

1. Scope

This AUP applies to everyone who uses the platform — free and commercial account holders, their end-users, developers using our API keys, and anyone uploading data to be used for grounding or retrieval.

2. General rules

Comply with all applicable laws and third-party rights.
Use the platform only for its intended purpose and within your plan and rate limits.
Do not misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or impersonate others.
You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys — keep keys secret.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not use the platform, its outputs, or its grounding features to:

Engage in or promote illegal activity, fraud, or infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights.
Create, upload or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code.
Generate or distribute content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that incites violence.
Facilitate weapons development, terrorism, human trafficking, or serious physical harm.
Run spam, phishing, deceptive schemes, or unsolicited bulk messaging.
Violate the privacy of others, including scraping or processing personal data without a lawful basis.
Present AI output as human-verified professional advice (legal, medical, financial) in a way that could mislead or harm.

Zero tolerance. Producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualises minors, and creating non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual deepfakes, is strictly prohibited. Such activity is blocked, terminated, and reported to the authorities.

4. Data you upload for grounding

When you upload documents or connect a knowledge base so the AI can "ground" answers in your own data, you additionally agree that:

You own the data or have the rights and lawful basis to upload and process it, including any personal data it contains.
You will not upload others' confidential, personal, or sensitive data without their consent or another lawful basis under the DPDP Act and applicable law.
You will not upload the prohibited content listed in section 3 as grounding material.
Your grounding data is tenant-isolated — used only to answer your own queries under your key, and never blended into another customer's results or into model training by us.
An automated moderation guardrail may block uploads or queries that appear to breach this AUP; repeated attempts may lead to suspension.
You remain the controller of your uploaded data and are responsible for its accuracy, legality, and for removing it when it should no longer be retained.

Note. Grounding improves relevance but does not guarantee correctness. Always review AI output before relying on it, especially for regulated or high-stakes decisions.

5. AI-specific rules

Do not attempt to bypass safety systems, extract system prompts, or "jailbreak" the models.
Do not present AI-generated content as human-authored where doing so is deceptive or unlawful.
Do not use AI outputs to build a competing model or to systematically extract training data.
Do not submit others' sensitive personal data to AI features without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards.
Review and verify AI outputs before relying on them.

6. Security and platform integrity

Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without our written authorisation.
Do not overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' data.
Do not circumvent rate limits, usage metering, authentication, or access controls.
Do not resell or sublicense the platform except as expressly permitted by your commercial agreement.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warning, content or upload removal, rate limiting, suspension or termination of accounts and API keys, and referral to law enforcement. We may act immediately without notice where there is a risk of harm, legal exposure, or serious abuse.

8. Reporting abuse

To report a violation, harmful content, or a security issue, email support@cehpoint.co.in with details. We take reports seriously and respond promptly.
